Information As one of the key employees, the candidate will be responsible for operation of a manual Lathe. He/she will be knowledgeable in various aspects of the parts manufacturing processes that involve turning equipment, including:

***Operation of Manual metal cutting tools such as Manual and CNC Lathes machines
***Set-up above mentioned equipment to facilitate optimum production rates and maximize tool life
***Reading and understanding of orthographic and parametric component drawings,
***Reading and understanding of blueprints
***Metal cutting techniques and principles
***Must quickly and easily adapt to complex and/pr unconventional projects that require precision to meet tight scheduling and deadlines
***Operation and set up of machines used to perform repetitive machining operations;

***Hand-eye co-ordination
***Must be able to perform required tasks with minimal supervision, while meeting quality of work standards

Duties:
***Setup and operate a CNC Lathe
***Utilize knowledge of available cutting tools, inserts, cutting materials, holders, etc.
***Machining parts, ensuring conformance to specifications
***Verifying dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micometers, calipers)
***Completing work orders and associated documents
***Clean and maintain work space
***Conduct routine maintenance operations on the equipment that you work with to minimize plant downtime
***Contribute to the continuous improvement of the operation.

Requirements:
*** College diploma or Technical Training in CNC Machining, Manufacturing, or similar
*** Minimum 6 Months of experience setting up and operating CNC Machines
*** Ability to read and understand GD&T symbols, blueprints, and CAD drawings
***Proven experience using Hand Tools, Power tools, and measuring tools ( Gauges, Verniers, etc.)
***Must have Steel-toed safety boots
***Must have valid Ontario Driver’s License
